Food Security

Food Security

Food security can be described as a measure of the availability of food and individuals' ability to access it.

Access means being able to get food easily and being able to afford food that caters for peoples dietary needs and food preferences. Food insecurity exists when people lack sustainable physical and economic access to enough safe and nutritious food.

Window farms are so important for food security. They increase food security because they use very little space. Today, our planet is running out of space at a very fast rate. Also, it is very cheap to build. The rich and poor can build window farms. You can find many household items that can be useful for a window farm. Poor families have a very convenient and cheap way of producing their own food when having a window farm.
